You can even go as low as 40, even though 30 is playable, for an everyday person it may be too choppy, 40 is still choppy but not as bad, but it is still within reasonable framerate, 50 for slim - no choppiness, I prefer 50, but I try to avoid 60 FPS, since you do not need that much, that will just push the computer more and more for no reason, this can increase the PC's lifetime. Mac is NOT resistant to malware. Few people write malware for Mac, since few people actually use it. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT MAC MALWARE DOES NOT EXIST. The only thing you suggest here that even has the potential of doing harm is overclocking. FPS boosts are only a net gain.EDIT: okay, so this was made a year ago, invalidating my FPS config complaint. You cannot play on secure servers. Error.After getting kicked, you cannot play on any server for about 10 minutes or so after the program has been completely closed.I always completely exit Process Hacker and then restart Steam before playing TF2. Also, if it is only for ram, I don't need it. The video card is the problem, not ramYou're using Vista. Vista is a resource hog and uses virtual memory to patch that up. Problem: If your game suddenly needs more ram in the middle of the battle, Vista needs to move some of it's components to it's Virtual memory which will make you lag because of the writing on your HDD, which is terribly slow. Setting a heapsize makes TF2 not use more then the set amount and Vista can't use the set amount, makes your lag decrease.
